Bill raised capital for 40+ companies and investment funds through 100+ financing rounds and participated in the purchase of $550M+ in Commercial Real Estate. Bill graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis in 1992 and later served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Signals Intelligence Officer.
Founded Hornet Capital in 2017 and originated over $20 million in real estate backed loans in Austin, Texas. Hornet originates, underwrites and funds secured and unsecured real estate purpose loans and achieved annualized returns totaling 10.05% and 10.00% in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Lew Baker (USMA '91) has over 25 years of experience in wealth management. He is a former Morgan Stanley VP and is currently the principal of Rock Creek Wealth Planners and Advisors, LLC an independent SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm. Lew joins the Academy Fund as Director of National Accounts. In this role he is building relationships nationwide with investors who are looking to participate in this niche opportunity to support and prosper along side military service connected leaders creating wealth.
